‘How Project Management can empower Not-for- Profit organisations’
Why are we failing to overcome human & environmental crises?
Human civilization has reached its highest level of abundance of food, technology, wealth, energy and communication. There is no shortage of not-for-profit organizations and volunteers competing to make a difference, and still, we are continuously failing to respond effectively to global crises.
Recent studies have demonstrated that traditional leadership may not be adapted to not- for-profit organizations. Also, once confronted to Cultural, Political and Social traditions, traditional Project Management (PM) methods seem to become inefficient, especially in Developing Countries.
Project Managers across borders are awakening and new rules are yet waiting to be crafted. Firstly, effective project planning methods are required to handle delays, corruption, and political interference. Then, adequate supervision and Agile coordination should rely on innovation (such as Blockchain, Machine-Learning, and the Internet of Things). Finally, Risk Management Plans must handle unanticipated crises, cybersecurity threats, uncontrolled epidemics, conflicts, and panics.
This conference will uncover the other side of the Ice-Berg called Project Management. We will explore both Social and Digital Transformation to uncover new PM methods to overcome future crises and change the game in the not-for-profit world.
