Environment: Rotary International next new area of focus?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

21, January 2020 – Is environment about to become Rotary 7th area of focus?

The Rotary International Board of Directors and Rotary Foundation Trustees will meet at Rotary’s world headquarters in Evanston on January 27-30th of January.

Meanwhile at Rotary’s International Assembly there are indications on social media that the Past Rotary International president Ian Riseley announced that the Trustees have already approved the environment as a new Area Of Focus for Rotary. There is no indication on how it can be inserted with the other 6, however, Rotary International is already acknowledging the urgent need to take care of the environment.

We may still need to wait to see how Environment will now be incorporated in some way as a Area of Focus. As UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said – “There is no Plan B because there is no Planet B”!! The time is now!
